Three little pigs

PR 3LP01

Motor Technology is 25 years old this year and to celebrate we’re looking back at some of the most exciting projects we’ve been involved with since we first set up in business all those years ago.

In this month’s issue of Motor Technology News we’re looking back to a project we worked on with Cambridge Consultants, back in 2006, who designed a unique wind simulation system for The University of Western Ontario, in Canada, for use in their pioneering research into wind damage to domestic housing, known as the Three Little Pigs project.

The vast simulator was designed to operate within the Insurance Research Lab for Better Homes, a facility big enough for a full size house to be tested. The idea was to recreate severe wind conditions and monitor their affects on the structural integrity of complete buildings to the point of destruction. read more here

SEIDEL drives have been sold in different guises by companies such as ABB, SchiWa, Stober, Beckhoff to name a few
60WKS

Old favourites live on

With over 25 years of service the old 60WKS servo invertors originally made by the German servo drive manufacturer Fritz A. Seidel drives are still going strong and proving themselves to be reliable and trouble free work horses.

Keeping the same equipment operational can have considerable benefits over replacement and we’re offering an exchange or refurbishment service on these drives, and, as long as stocks last, we’re still able to offer brand new drives with a full 12 month back to base warranty.

Over the years the 60WKS has made an appearance in many different guises, as shown here are Seidel, ABB Axodyn and the Schindler & Wagner (SchiWa) versions.

If you’re not sure then contact us for advice and more information on the different type codes for the 60WKS drives such as: 60WKS-M240/06-PB, 60WKS-CE240/22PB24V, DKH-E 2601, etc. Please contact us for more info.
